These hard to find push switches are simple to replace and will fix all strumming problems with your guitar, whether your guitar has stopped strumming completely (or in just one direction) or it is frequently missing notes that you know you have hit.
These switches install in exactly the same way as our Guitar Hero World Tour Strummer Switches which you can see in the tutorial video below.
The Guitar Hero guitars come with 2 of these switches installed, one for up-strumming, and one for down-strumming. If your guitar has stopped working in only one direction you will only require one switch to repair the fault but we offer excellent deals on buying 2 or more switches to allow you to change both switches at the same time with these high quality replacements. The repair can be performed by someone with little or no soldering experience in under 10 minutes, and will have you back up and rocking again before you know. - With this work on my guitar?
These switches are compatible with -Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero Metallica, Guitar Hero 5 & Band Hero
- My switches have only 2 contacts - will this switch still work?
Yes, the 3rd contact (which is required for some guitars) is not required on other guitars (i.e. GH3 guitars) and should be removed by bending it back and forth a couple of times and removing it.
- Do I get instructions with my order?
Yes, you will receive instructions via email and along with the instructional video shown on this page fitting should be a breeze.
- Do I need any special skills to fit this item?
You will need to be able to use a soldering iron but it really is a simple job and quite manageable for a first attempt at soldering
- What tools will I need?
- Soldering Iron (15 - 30 watts)
- Desoldering Pump (also known as a solder sucker)
- Torx Screwdrivers / bits (T6 &T10) *NEW* our 8 in 1 Torx screwdriver Sets
The solder sucker is optional but advised for those new to soldering.
