If you are getting double (or phantom) hits then you will need to replace the sensor in that pad.

		<description>Whenever I hit the green drum it makes it look like I&#039;ve hit it twice instead of once but only if I try to hit an accent note or right in the center. Lower on the drum is fine but it&#039;s hard just to hit the very bottom of it, can this be fixed or do I need to buy another sensor or something</description>

A lot of it will depand on how you play - if you are a brutal drummer then you will have to expect a few breakages (although it does sound like you have been quite unlucky with yours) But most people do not have any major issues for years.</description>
