Guitar Hero Controller Won't Stay Connected.

I have Guitar Hero 5 for the xbox 360. The guitar syncs up ok, my batteries are brand new. But when I start playing it constantly disconnects from the xbox 360 and I get the prompt to reconnect my controller. Is there anyway to fix this? Thank you.

This is a odd one, we have had a few questions about wii and ps3 controllers not staying connected but I think this is the first xbox example.

A few questions first:

Do all your normal xbox controllers stay connected?
Do you have any other instruments that do or do not stay connected?
Have you tried taking the guitar to a friends to try it on their console (you do not need the game to connect the guitar to the console)?

Answers to these would at least let us know if your issue is inside the guitar / xbox / elsewhere.

Thanks for responding.

My other guitar hero controller and my friend's controllers work perfectly fine. I don't have any other controllers that won't stay connected. The same thing also happens on their xbox 360 consoles. I'm positive that the issues are with the guitar only. Thanks.

Thanks for getting back again.

We agree with your conclusion that your problem is inside the guitar although we are not aware of a fix for it. Unless anyone else has any opinions on this we can only suggest a new guitar -sorry
