buttons sometimes double press (ps3)

Postby yums » Thu Jan 14, 2010 6:03 am

first song is usually fine, second song, if i press/hold a button, it'll press like it's on rapid fire or won't press, and will randomly press a second later. the interesting thing is that i've already returned one dj hero set for the same problem.

i mean the buttons on the deck x fader and those buttons are always good

Hi Yums

sorry I dont think I quite understand what you mean, are you talking about the 3 coloured buttons on the turntable? If any of your buttons feel like they are sticking you could try just taking them apart and having a bit of a clean just to make sure its not clogged up with anything?! Also are you sure that the buttons are the problem have you made sure your ps3 and tv are synced properly by performing the calibration in the menu?

yeah, the three coloured buttons, it happens more with the green and red but not so much with the blue. it doesn't feel sticky or anything like that. i've tried holding down a button before the song even begins and sometimes i can see it double press even if i'm firmly holding the button. i've calibrated it on two different tv's (one with av and an lcd) with the same results.

is it possible it's my ps3 seeing as i've had the problem twice with two different decks? i may return it and hopefully third time's a charm

Hi Yums,

Yes good call, it may be your ps3, would be worth giving the next one a try on someone elses PS3 to see how it gets on.

Keep us posted though, it's good to have all the info around incase anyone else searches for the same issue.

Thanks
