Ideas for improving the crossfader

Postby futhamucka » Tue Jan 12, 2010 10:37 pm

I just picked up DJ hero last night, and I'm really liking the game so far. I know I'll probably get use to the crossfader over time, but the centre region seems to be too small. I stumbled on this site, and thought I'd see if anyone has had any ideas or solutions to make it feel a bit better.

I saw Richard Li's crossfader mod on 1up.com: http://www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=9008142. This comes at it from the other angle: reducing the travel of the 'fader. I might try it, though using something a bit nicer than gaffer tape :)

So anyone got any solutions, or better yet some tips to hit that center zone every time?

You don't need a mod to reduce the crossfader travel. Just because it moves that far, it doesn't mean you *have* to move it that far. I just nudge it 1cm either side - this way you wont have trouble finding the middle and it makes the tricky fader sections on the later sets much easier.

Hope that helps.
