Same issue hear - Phantom button press during scratches! It seems that the controller works perfectly for the first 30 minutes then the problem starts.

I bought the controller last week from HMV. Unfortunatley the reciept has been lost so i cant take it back :(. Im actually quite annoyed as i really like this game!!

Before having the problem i always played with right handed configuration and buttons on the left.
Today i tried playing with buttons on the right, changing the options in the menu, and i didn't have the problem, i even unlocked some achievements.
I know it's a temporary workaround while we wait for a solution, but at least i can play, though i prefer having buttons on the left.

I also have been experiencing all of the symptoms listed on this post:

*My desk rewinds when I don't ask it to
*When I spin the deck, the buttons trigger automatically, making it impossible to complete a decent scratch sequence and therefore progress onto any higher than medium.
I've tried switching the fader to the other side already - playing left-handed - and even though awkward, I was still able to replicate the problems. I have had the game since Christmas and nearly a day afterwards it started playing up.

Can anyone let me know if a replacement DID fix things, or are all replacements likely to break - because I'm thinking it might be worth replacing it once, to see if there's any difference?

Also, any news you guys can give on the fix would be well received :|

Hi, i'm having exactly the same problems as the guy above me...I wondered what was wrong when every time I scratched I lost points and then it was randomly rewinding in the middle of me attempting to scratch lmao...Activision say it could be your phone interfering with the connection...i'm off to try that now but it would be interesting if it did work what phones actually interfere with deck

I tried this guys and i'm sorry but in my case it didn't work, it's worth a try for the rest of you though...you never know :|

Hi all thanks for keeping the forum alive and interesting while we all try and get to the bottom of this one!

One of our members has posted an interesting possible fix on this thread it may be worth a shot.

As for any progress our end, we are still waiting on any information to come back from our electronics partners, it could be very soon or it could take a while there are a lot of factors to consider - Phone interference is a new one though, did Activision say that to you by phone or in an email - we would love to see that!

Our advise to anyone suffering this issue is to return it if you can under warranty, we do hope to have a fix soon but as you can tell from reading up around the site and the wider internet sources this is a tricky one!

Here is the Activision article which quotes iPhones (wireless interference) as a possible cause.

And yeah, sorry guys, I know I should have posted this along with my original post, but I have already tried the fixed suggested on the Activision support forum - to turn off wireless devices such as iPhones. I have an iPhone, which I turned off, I also unplugged the wireless router/modem to ensure there was no wireless signal active in the house at all when playing... and the problem has persisted :?

Hi MOS3PH

Thanks for that link, we would never say a bad word about Activision after giving us both Guitar and DJ hero but it does seem strange that this interference issue has not been a problem earlier with wireless controllers of all kinds, I mean how often does your xbox or ps3 controller miss a beat?

Well I got DJ Hero for xmas for the xbox.
Did it on medium, then hard, then 3rd of way through expert mine started with this.
Took it back to the shop with receipt for a swap out, got a new one back today, I intend to watch how hard I press down!!
My faulty turntable did have the djhero sticker on it in the centre.
Wasn't renegade was a standard.
Wireless interference is NOT an issue from what I have found. I suspect poor build quality, not really built with everything in mind.
BUT I#m all good for now I suppose! :D

Hi Guys, Im back again!

Well a quick update for you all, as you may know from reading earlier posts in this thread we have been trying to get to the bottom of this rewind issue. Why do some controller get it and some don't, what could be causing it, what can we do to get a repair for it? Well to try and help answer some of these questions we passed a couple of our DJ Hero turntable controllers to a specialist electonics repair company to try and diagnose it, we gavce them 1 working one and 1 with the rewind problem to see if they could trace the cause of it all.

Bad news I am afraid, they tell me they have no idea why this is happening. The original theory that we wanted to test was that the chips were eithe programmed wrong or not fast enough to deal with some of the inputs but it seems the chips are locked down by the manufacturer and cannot be read so we are not closer to finding an answer I am afraid.

We will keep looking into it although we need some new theories to test if you have a suggestion and would us to consider testing it for you then please just post away and we will follow it up.

Thanks guys and don't loose hope!
