Fix red pad with spare parts from GHWT kit.

Hi
I bought myself a band hero kit about 4 months ago and straight out of the box the red pad was registering double hits. Since I'd heard that the old GHWT drum tuner software worked with band hero I gave that a shot and it seemed to temporarily fix the problem. A few days later the red pad just stopped working altogether.. I tried a few things including re-seating the drum brain and it just randomly started working again. The kit was good for a few months but then the red pad started dropping notes and has gotten progressively worse since.. last night the red was dropping notes so badly I got angry and gave it an almighty thud with the stick right in the center - after that the red pad stopped working completely.. (my bad ^_^).
Reading another post it sounds like a broken connection to the sensor under the drum yes?
I lifted the pad out and the wires do seem secure to the pad although probably broken under the anti vibrant coating maybe..
I have many spare GHWT drum kit parts including spare sensors etc (hey, I'm a hard hitter).. - is it all possible i can fix this pad using those spares?

Hi Vermillion (nice username BTW!)

Yes in Theroy it would be possible to do this, but it is very difficult removing the old sensor and sticking it back down again properly - the adhesive pad on the bottom of the sensor you are trying to remove will be so hard to fully remove you will end up cracking the ceramic coating on top of the sensor and the type of adhesive pad used to restick them also make a massive difference due to depth, density etc.

Your best best would be to try a Solderless drum repair kit
