Whammy Permanent????

Postby Doofah » Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:36 pm

Hi guys,

I love my lil guitar hero 3 guitar, and although we have 4 other guitars in the house (lots of teen boys ;) ) I want this one back up and running.

Today whilst I let my nephew play, it suddenly began to have a permanent whammy - every long note self-whammy's itself regardless of whether the whammy is used or not - try saying that when you're drunk. The spring is fine (though it feels less springy than normal).

I figure the switch must have gotten damaged or something, but can't find my torx screwdrivers atm, when I do I'll be opening her up - however if you guys know of an obvious solution I'd love to hear it.

I'll be ordering a repair kit for my drums tomorrow I'm sure (My nephew is on them right now) so I might as well prepare my total order first!
