• What do you get with a strummer repair kit? - the kit contains 1 or 2 switches and printed fitting instructions, you will also get an email when your item is dispatched and this will include a download link for an extra copy of the instructions in high resolution colour PDF format
• Should I buy a single or double repair kit? - In 90% of the guitars we see, only 1 switch ever really breaks but as it only takes an extra minute or two to fit a second switch it is something you should consider which is why we offer heavy discounts on the second switch
• How long will shipping take? - See our shipping information page
• I have never soldered before, can I still perform these repairs? - Soldering is not a difficult thing to pick up and with a bit of patience and half an hour practise you should be fine. You can view a good soldering guide to give you some pointers.
• What happens if I have any trouble with the fitting? - We provide full email support for all customers and troubleshooting guide if needed
• I don't have a Palpal account but I want something you have advertised - You can still add items to your cart and pay without ever signing up for a Paypal account if you don't want one, you will be given a link to pay with credit card at the checkout stage and you can do this without registering with paypal at all.
• You don't have my local currency listed can I still buy from you? - Yes just select your preferred currency from the list and Paypal will exchange it automatically and at no charge to you.
• Why can I not add items of different currencies to my shopping cart? - Paypal will only allow payments in one currency at a time you will need to checkout or empty a cart of one currency before you can start another currency
• I'm looking for a repair / part that I cannot find on your site - We keep a large amount of stock for lots of GH products, use the Contact Us link to ask us if we have what you are looking for!

Payments

All payments made through the site are made via Paypal but you do not need a Paypal account to purchase from us. Items added to you cart may be paid for by any major credit card or if you have a Paypal account you may also use your balance from that.

We accept payments in US Dollars, Pound Sterling and Euros, if you wish to pay with another currency Paypal will automatically convert your payment free of charge.

Shipping

• All items purchased through the site will be sent via Royal Mail Airmail or 1st class post.
• Most items ship same day if ordered by 11:00am (excluding weekends and bank holidays)
• Tracking is not possible using the postal services we use, if you require tracking, insurance or express postage on your order please advise us through the additional information box on PayPal or Contact Us

These shipping times are provided for us by the postal service, although over 90% of our shipped items arrive in the timescales shown above occasionally some items do take longer. Returns

We test and guarantee all of the items we ship out and believe them to be of the highest quality, if you do receive an item which does not work, is damaged or incorrect then we will happily refund or replace any item within 28 days. Returns for non faulty items may be subject to a restocking fee to include the original postage costs.

• Read the ad - sounds obvious I know but you need to read exactly what the buyer is saying in their ad, most seller are good people trying to provide the best service they can but you still need to check.

• Ask questions - if you're buying a console, for instance, and it does not mention that the power lead is included then ask! Chances are the seller has just forgotten to mention it, but what if they are selling without a power cable? That would be very dissapointing when it arrived.

• Check Feedback - Feedback is eBay's way of keeping the honest, honest! Good traders will have a good feedback rating and comments - they are used to getting it right and will not want to ruin their reputation on one transaction going wrong, so they will ensure you stay happy throughout.

• Check how much things cost on other sites like Amazon to make sure you are getting the best deal.

• When to buy - these deals change by the minute so you should be sure to check back often, but generally if you are looking on a sunday afternoon you will be bidding against more people than if you were looking on a tuesday morning.

• Paying - while sellers can accept many methods of payment, Paypal is by far the favoured way of paying, it is safe, free, and provides insurance should something go wrong - If you do not have a Paypal account go get one now!

Suddenly, Guitar Hero arrived and the world was a different, better, place.....

We at GuitarHeroRepair.com, like many of you, caught the GH bug big time! The feeling of prancing around your living room wailing on a plastic guitar pretending to be one of many rock icons was so appealing and so addictive it has taken over many of our lives (don't think this doesn't apply to you - it does!). So it was decided to start up this website with the goal of offering people the latest news, products, repairs and mods to keep us feeding the beast.

We have more technical expertise than any other Guitar Hero site, due to the number of instruments we repair. Quite simply no one has taken more instruments apart and seen more issue than us, that is why our repair parts are not just replicas of the original parts, they are improvements on the original, based on our knowledge of what breaks, how it breaks, and what would have stopped it breaking in the first place.

While we love them dearly, we are not associated with Activision or Red Octane in any way. We are an independant company based in the UK and serving the world with the products they want to keep their instruments up and running.
